Therapeutic and educational groups are run periodically for women who have similar needs. Many women find coming to a group helpful as part of healing themselves and learning coping skills. A group may go for a number of weeks. We also have one-off workshops on popular topics.

WILMA’s counsellors and health practitioners often run groups such as:

WILMA produces a group calendar What’s on at WILMA every three months with information on the groups that will be offered. We invite you to suggest topics for future group programs.

Information is available on a variety of topics concerning women’s psychological and emotional well being. This may include referral to other services useful for addressing women’s individual needs.

In addition, WILMA workers are available to provide community health education and workshops promoting awareness of issues affecting women’s health.
